Dr. Shuvro H Roy-Choudhury, FRCS (London), FRCR (London), CCST (UK), FCIRSE, EBIR is a Consultant in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology who works in India and part-time in the UK with over 25 years of experience in the UK. Currently, he is the Director of Interventional & Endovascular Radiology and Specialized Imaging for a large private hospital group with 7 sites in Eastern India (NH Group) and works as a part-time Consultant Radiologist at University Hospital of North Midlands at Stoke-On-Trent, UK. Dr. Shuvro Roy Choudhury is the President-Elect of the Indian Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology and the Vice President of the Indian Society of Interventional Onco-Radiology. He is an expert in thoracoabdominal CT and MRI including the use of 320 slice CT, bariatric radiology, staging and restaging of cancers, and is a US level II certified interpreter of cardiac CT.
Active in research and teaching, Dr. Roy-Choudhury has 42 peer-reviewed original publications, over 100 international scientific presentations, and has contributed chapters in 6 international textbooks. Research areas include tumour ablation, rectal cancer, perianal fistulae, GI bleeding, CT Colonography, bariatric radiology, abdominal trauma, biliary/enteral stents, pelvic floor imaging, dialysis fistulae, etc. He lectures widely and is an invited faculty in several British (ACPGBI, BSIR), Indian (IRIA, ISVIR, ARSCICON, IACTI, APICON, USICON, EMCON, ASGCON, ISNCON,) and international (ESGAR, CIRSE, ECIO, ECR, SIR, MSCP, RCSSL, ACTA) conferences. He serves as a reviewer of several European journals including European Radiology and British Journal of Radiology. He ran courses on CT Colonography and Cross-sectional Imaging for surgeons in the UK. He is a member of RSNA, ESR, BSIR, CIRSE, ESCR, ESIO, RCR, ESIR, ISVIR, APCVIR, ISO, IRIA.
